I am always looking to expand my photography portfolio and creative vision. If you don’t see the type of session you are looking for, please send me an inquiry. I love collaborating and making your creative vision come to life.
2. Why should I hire a professional photographer?

Creativity: delivers exceptional and creative results
Professional Equipment: uses professional photography gear for top-notch photographs
Professional Editing: experience and knowledge on professional editing techniques and software
Strategic Planning: professional photographers take a lot of time to plan a shoot to make sure it is stunning including logistics, lighting, location, wardrobe, and more
Heirloom Quality Photos: you will be receiving photos that you and your family will want to frame, post to social media, and keep for a lifetime!
3. Are retainers refundable?
Photography retainers are non-refundable. By paying the retainer fee, you are reserving the my services for that specific date and time on my calendar. I don’t advertise or book that slot with any other clients. If the client cancels their session, the retainer ensures the photographer is compensated for losing out on other bookings for that session. The retainer is applied to the total cost of your package (for the originally scheduled session or if a session is rescheduled a single time).
4. Do you offer digital images, prints, and canvases?
I deliver your images using a professional online gallery system. You will receive a link to your gallery and a PIN to use for downloading the photos included in your package. Your gallery has the option to order high quality prints and canvases directly from one of my favorite labs. When ordering directly from your gallery, I ensure your prints will be of the highest quality.
5. What is your process for backing up or storing images?
I store images on your online professional gallery for 30 days. You will need to download your images and place any print orders within that time period. I do keep your images backed up in a hard drive as well. If you need access to your gallery in the future, I charge a $25 archival fee to create a new gallery for any purchases or orders past the 30 day mark.
6. Do I get copyright or ownership of my images?
When you download images from your online gallery, you receive a personal print release, which means you are able to print, post, and use the images for your own personal use only. The copyright and ownership of the images remains with Darby Zhang Photography.
7. Do you give RAW images?
I never provide or sell any RAW or unfinished images. It’s my job to provide you with the highest quality, beautifully finished images infused with my signature style.
8. What types of editing do you offer?
With all of my work, I provide basic editing on all photos included in your client gallery. This includes color correction, straightening, cropping, and small blemish removal. For more extensive editing requests, my fees start at $5 per image. I do not offer editing for major body modifications or slimming. I strive to provide an artistic yet realistic representation of my beautiful clients.
9. Do you have a client closet?
For portrait sessions, I have a client closet of lovely tulle gowns (can be used for maternity or fine art portraits) ranging from small to medium. I also have some beautiful dresses for toddlers and young girls sizes and a few classic outfits for baby boy/toddlers. If you are interested in what’s in my client closet, please inquire!
